One of the important reflections I gained while working on this art was temperament; the understanding how to restrain ones self in order to serve a certain purpose. When I was still new to art, I attempted fearlessly complicated realistic figures to satisfy my craving to perfection and idealism and also to test where am I at in my knowledge in art. As I was delving more about my art, I became more and more particular with complexity and its visual impact aspiring to impress the public’s eye while gradually loosing my “Whys” in the process. Then I realized that art doesnt have to be that way. It’s not all about showcasing how good you are, sometimes you have to hold back for the sake of art…as in music, one doesnt have to show off ones vocal range all the time to make good music. Be friends with art and dont compete with it. One may be so good that he could embody the persona of a master but never can precede the nobleness of the nature of Art. Temperament in art is a stage in the artist’s journey where one acknowledges that art is not just about the artist but most of the time its about relevance, the shared experience and delight for the meaning.
